BRAD PITT
Brad Pitt studied journalism at university, but he really wanted to be an actor. So, Brad left university and drove to California with only $325 in his pocket. While Brad looked for an acting job, he did some interesting things. He worked as a chauffeur and he dressed up as a chicken and advertised a fast food restaurant. He also cleaned restaurant tables and sold fridges.

SANDRA BULLOCK
Sandra Bullock studied drama at university. When she left university she decided to look for a job in New York and left home with some money, her dog and a few possessions. While she learned to act, she worked as a waitress and then as a model. Finally, she got a part in the film Speed.

JOHNNY DEPP
Johnny Depp was born in Kentucky but grew up in Florida. He left school at the age of fifteen. He didn’t want to be an actor when he was young. He wanted to be a musician. He learned the guitar and he played in a band. The band went to Los Angeles but they weren’t popular. Then Johnny met the actor Nicholas Cage. Nicholas Cage found him his first acting job in Nightmare on Elm Street.
